Charles William Wheeler, Jr.

Mr. Charles "Charlie" Wheeler, 67 Greenacres, Florida passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Wheeler was born September 18, 1943 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to the late Charles William & Anna Marie (Johne) Wheeler and he moved to the West Palm Beach area in 1971 from Passiac, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and proud United States Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Bernadette (Mezanko) Wheeler of Greenacres; sons, John (Nancy) Wheeler of Maryville, Tennessee and Matthew (Naomi) Wheeler of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Geraldine Ball of Morganton, North Carolina; Anna Paci of Clifton, New Jersey and Rosanne Lombardi of Morganton, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Nicole Wheeler; John Wheeler Jr.; Brittany Wilt. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Wheeler will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Clem Hammerschmitt as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
