Faustina "Tina" Baglietto

June 29, 1925 — August 18, 2011

Faustina (Tina) Baglietto, age 86, of Green Acres, Fl, formerly of Long Island, NY, beloved wife of the late James Baglietto, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 18, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Faustina Tortora in Long Island City, NY, on June 29, 1925 to Clemente and Filomena Tortora. Tina married her beloved husband, Jim on June 9, 1946 and they raised their family in New Hyde Park, Long Island, NY. They retired to Boca Raton, Fl in 1984, and later relocated to Green Acres, Fl. Tina was an accomplished artist, working in both watercolors and pastels. She loved cooking for family and friends and crocheting beautiful outfits and blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tina is survived by her devoted daughter Elaine Baglietto Hodac and her husband Lou Hodac of Smithville, NJ. Her devoted son Stephen Baglietto and his wife Betty Baglietto of Lake Worth, Fl., her sister Angie Doucette of Boca Raton, Fl, her four adoring grandchildren, Louis Hodac of Elizabeth City, NC, Keith Hodac of Bradenton, Fl, Alissa Lee of Galloway, NJ and Christopher Hodac of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and two great-grandchildren Evie Hodac and Alexander Hodac. Also surviving her are nephew, Joseph Guarneri and nieces Diana Mosetis, Dr. Erminia (Mimi) Guarneri, Janice Baglietto and Joyce Baglietto Schiffer. In addition to her husband of 51 years, Tina was predeceased by her sister Sarah Guarneri. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 20th at Tillman Funeral Home 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 22nd at St. Luke Catholic Church 2892 S. Congress Ave. Palm Springs, Fl., followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, Fl. In lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tina’s name to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
