Barbara Johnson Raines

Barbara Johnson Raines, (Nan) 81 of Vero Beach passed away Sunday, July 24th 2011 at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, Florida. She was Born September 1, 1929 in Fairhope, Alabama to the late Edward & Elise (Gilmore) Johnson and moved to West Palm Beach in 1947. Nan loved family and friends dearly. She was an excellent cook and baker. She is predeceased by her husband Douglas Raines 1991, sons Roger and Darvin Raines 2004, brother’s Ronald, John and James Johnson and sister Linda Moore. Survivors include: sons Ruic “Rocky” of West Palm Beach, daughter Wanda Tydings of Vero Beach and son Glenn Raines (Patty) Vero Beach; daughter in law Lena Raines of Stuart, brothers William(Patsy), Thomas(Laney), Richard, Michael (Laura), Dennis, sister Mary Ann Carter; grandchildren Kristin Schall (Jeff), Greg Tydings, Tausha Houck (Marty), James Ewing (Kimberlee), Shane Raines (Joan), Toi Stauffer (Ron), Kris Tydings, Douglas Raines (Cheryl), Stacey Burke (Paul), Justin Raines, John Raines (Kelly); great grandchildren Shanea, Tessa, Seaton, Saylor, Allee, Jeremy, Paulina, Savannah, Aaden, Triston, Zachary, Gabriella, Tannor and Gracilyn. Funeral services for Barbara will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 28, 2011 in the Chapel of Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Lake Worth.
