Jean Ulery, 82, of West Palm Beach, FL, died Thursday September 8 in Vitas Hospice at Columbia Hospital. Miss Ulery was born September 24, 1928 in Scottdale, PA. She graduated from Scottdale High School in 1946. Miss Ulery was preceded in death by her parents, C. Homer and Mae (Briner) Ulery, and four brothers (Homer, Emerson, Kenny, and Jack) and one sister (Grace). Miss Ulery lived in West Palm Beach for 33 years and worked as head of housekeeping at Cresthaven East for more than 20 years. She was a member of Community Christian Church. At church, she usually worked in the nursery. Miss Ulery also will be remembered by everyone who ever ate any of her desserts, among those were the most amazing red cake, cream puffs, coconut cream and lemon pies. She often sold her cakes to area restaurants. Miss. Ulery is survived by her sister Doris Stoner of Carterville, IL and West Palm Beach; brother Regis Ulery of Hummelstown, PA, Kim Blevins of Indianapolis, IN, who she always referred to as her adopted daughter, and 16 nieces and nephews and their spouses. A Memorial Service for Jeannie will be held 3:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2011 at Community Christian Church, 521 Jog Road, West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Relay For Life.
