Gilbert "Gil" Martin

Mr. Gilbert “Gil” Martin, 84, Greenacres, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at JFK Medical Center following a brief illness. Gil was born May 31, 1927 in Fall River Massachusetts to the late Manuel & Victrina (Reposa) Martin and moved to the Greenacres area in 1994 from New Jersey. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and a proud World War II veteran of the United States Navy. Gil is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; Enes (Serafin) Martin of Greenacres, Florida; son, Stephen Martin of Boynton Beach, Florida; daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Garelick of Barnegat, New Jersey; granddaughters, Jennifer and Katelyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach with Father Gavin Badway as celebrant. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407
