Johanna K. Gruno

Age 99, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away following a brief illness on November 5, 2011. Johanna was born in Fayette, Pennsylvania to the late Joe and Annie Machurak on October 29, 1912. She married Paul E. Gruno on June 26, 1937. Johanna moved to West Palm Beach from Interlachen, Florida and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul in 1984 and her son Ron in 2007. Johanna is survived by her beloved daughter-in-law and care-giver, June J. Gruno , whom she still lived with. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon (“Earl” “Hap”) Harrison, Gary (Paula) Gruno and Dennis Gruno; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial for Johanna will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, celebrated by Reverend Gavin J. Badway. Johanna will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Palatka, Florida next to her beloved husband Paul. She was blessed with a wonderful life and leaves many people in deep sadness as she will be greatly missed.
