Lorraine Eva Stubblefield was born on November 29, 1919 to John Thomas and Flora Elizabeth (Maiden) Stubblefield. She was preceded in death by sisters Mary (Stubblefield) Maurer, Martha (Mattie) Rose, Cora (Stubblefield) Kistner, and brothers George, John Craig, Howard, and Charles Stubblefield, husband John A. Brady, granddaughter Babel Blam, and grandson John Touchette. Surviving are daughter Juanita (Mrs. Dan) Wood , son John H. Arnold, surviving grandchildren: Terri (Mrs. Steve) Marshall, Angie (Mrs. Tommy) Doyle, Richard Arnold, Michelle (Mrs. Donnie) Lastinger, Jutta Weber, Rachel (Mrs. Bryan) Merendino, Rebecca (Mrs. Scott) von Loewe; 12 great grandchildren: Yvonne (Mrs Bobby) Jones, Jessica Belcher, Steve Marshall, Dillon Marshall, Anthony Gilliland, Nathan Gilliland, Garrett Lastinger, Shana (Mrs. Matthew) Nelson, Jacob Weber, Christian Gallina, Ethan Wood, Aidan Rhys von Loewe, and three great-great grandchildren: Makenzie Nelson, Logan Jones, and Kourtnee Weber as well as many nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends. Born in Dayton OH, the youngest of eight children, Lorraine Eva Brady held positions at National Cash Register and Globe Industries until her retirement to West Palm Beach FL in 1972. Mrs. Brady's greatest love was her Lord, being totally devoted to Him. She loved singing. Her beautiful alto voice could be enjoyed as a member of a number of quartets which ministered at hospitals, nursing homes, and other institutions. She was the soloist of choice for countless weddings and funerals as well as singing in her church choir. She also enjoyed whistling many familiar tunes. As a high school student she won several awards for reciting poetry, another of her enjoyments. At age 76, she traveled to El Salvador, C.A. during a short term missions outreach with Kings Castle Ministries where she fell in love with the children and the country. Lorraine was also a faithful member of Keenagers, a senior adult group. The Memorial Service will be Monday, June 4, 2012 at Bethel Assembly of God, 4320 S. Congress Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33461. Visitation is at 10am with the memorial service at 11 am. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach FL 33405 (north of Forest Hill Blvd) immediately following the service.
