Age 67, of Lantana, Florida sadly passed away on Monday, May 1, 2012. Born in 1944, Bob served our country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Upon acquiring his Associates Degree, he became a licensed boat Captain, until he married his wife of 38 years, Ann Miller Spickler, on July 11, 1974. A forever devoted family man, Bob left his career as a Captain to become owner of Sportsman’s Bait and Tackle and then Perk’s Bait and Tackle in Lantana, Florida, where some knew him as “Mr. Perk”. A kind hearted and jovial man, Bob enjoyed the simple things in life. A trusted friend, a loving husband, and a wonderful father. He is survived by by his wife, Ann, sons, Robert and James, daughter-in-law, Erin, Grandchildren, Kailie and Bobbi Jean, aunt, Shirley, siblings, Richard, Sharon, Leigh, and Lauren and his many friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM followed by a service at 3:00 PM at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach. After the services, the family will hold a “Celebration of Life” at the Grumpy Grouper in Lantana, Florida for all who wish to attend. Burial with military honors will be held 12:45 PM Monday, May 7, 2012 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please assemble in Lane 5.
