Joel Edward Monroe

Joel E. Monroe, 81 of Wellington passed away peacefully on Monday, October 08, 2012. He is survived by his son Fred Monroe and his daughter Michelle Monroe. He now joins his eldest son Joe Monroe upon his passing. Born in Shelby, North Carolina on June 22, 1931 he went on to serve in the US Air Force with the 319th FIS in the Korean War. Upon returning home he joined the Florida Highway Patrol and finished out his time with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office until 1995 when he retired. The Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Tillman Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
