Shirley Louise Galvin

Shirley Louise Galvin, 88, passed in the early morning hours at home on December 14, 2011. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on July 27, 1923 to the late Helen (DeGroote) and Norman Minzey. She was a longtime resident of Massapequa, NY, before moving to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1985. She was actively involved in her parish, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She is predeceased by 2 children, James and Catherine Ann. She is survived by four children, Michael, Robert Jr., Martha, and Mary, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and her sister, Norma Lee Earl. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Galvin will be celebrated 11:00 am Friday, December 16, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach with Father Gavin Badway and Father Seamus Murtagh as celebrants. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am until Mass time at the church. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
