Sidelfie B. Guevarra, MD

Dr. Sidelfie B. Guevarra, 89, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his Lake Worth home surrounded by his loving family. Dr. Guevarra was born August 26, 1922 in Manila, Philippines to the late Valeriano & Juanna (Bautista) Guevarra. He was a retired physician and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Lake Worth. Dr. Guevarra is survived by his loving wife, Amelia (Garchitorena) Guevarra; sons, Sidney (Heidi) Guevarra and Sidelfie (Stephanie) Guevarra Jr.; daughters, Anna (Thomas) Hofacker; Jessica (Humphrey) Chang and Jessamel DeVilla; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial for Dr. Guevarra will be offered 11:00 am Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth with Father Clem Hammerschmitt as celebrant. Entombment will follow the Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
