Anna R. Maher

Anna R. Maher, 82, of Greenacres, FL, formerly of Stuart, FL and Derby, CT entered eternal life on January 19, 2012 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Derby, CT on June 3, 1929 to Joseph and Adeline Crocamo and was the beloved and devoted mother of John J. (Joanne Arlia) Maher of Stuart, FL, Thomas A. Maher of Jupiter, FL, grandmother of Ryan T. Maher and mother-in-law of Marie E. Maher both of Milford, CT. Anna loved life and lived it to the fullest, enjoying and always laughing with her family, friends, and just about anyone having the pleasure of meeting her. She was a woman of deep faith and lived the new commandment to “love one another” everyday of her life. She was a graduate of St. Raphael Hospital School of Nursing in New Haven, CT and practiced her profession in a wide variety of settings, as she would say, “I did it all”. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Maher Sr. and son, Donald F. Maher Jr., brother, Joseph Crocamo, and sister, Ruth Mroz. She is also survived by a special niece, Mary Ellen Letvinchuk of Davie, FL, several nieces and nephews, close family friend Charlesworth Peters, of Bridgeport, CT and grand dogs, Jake, Kayla and Oz. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church 2892 S. Congress Ave. Palm Springs, FL. Graveside services will take place later this year at Mt.
