William E. Slipcevic, 67, born October 21, 1945 in Stanford, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 9th after a lengthy illness. He is survived by: his loving wife of 40 years, Martha A. Young Slipcevic, daughter Pam Gonzales and husband Andy Gonzales; sons Cecil Riggs Jr., Richard Riggs, William Slipcevic Jr. and wife Johanna Slipcevic, Walter Slipcevic and wife Dawn Slipcevic, and Charles E. Slipcevic, a sister, Kathy Henderson , 11 grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews. William was a decorated military serviceman who served in Vietnam, fought in the Valley of the Tears Battle, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Services Medal with 2 bronze service stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, and was an expert marksman. He was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Margaret Slipcevic and son William Alex Slipcevic. A Celebration of his life will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Modini celebrant.
