Mary Lee Davis

Mary Emma Lee Davis of Lake Park, Florida passed away peacefully on September 18, 2012 after a brief illness. Mary was born on July 18, 1924 in North Coventry, CT. She graduated from Windham High School in 1942 and married John William Davis in 1945. Mary worked at Hamilton Standard Propeller in Windsor Locks, CT and at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT. She relocated to United Technologies Corp. in South Florida in 1973 and worked there until her retirement in 1981. Mary was a member of the Eastern Star Good Intent Chapter No. 17 in East Hartford, CT and a life member of the Order of the Amaranth, Inc. in East Hartford, CT. She enjoyed antique auctions and was actively involved volunteering at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department. Mary is preceded in death by her husband John; parents Jesse and Lillian Lee; her sister Fern; and her brothers, Gordon, Robert, and Fredrick. Mary is survived by her sisters Faith Withey and Virginia Charette; her brothers Jesse Lee and William Lee; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family of Mary Davis wishes to thank Hospice of Palm Beach County for their assistance and support. A Memorial Service will take place at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 25th at First Baptist Church of Lake Park, 625 Park Avenue, Lake Park, FL 33403. Inurnment will take place in Willington, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
