Age 77, of West Palm Beach, passed away at home on May 6, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. John was born in Collinsville, Illinois on June 1, 1935. He went to school in San Jose, California, Bangor, Maine and attended college in Orono, Maine. John worked as an ironworker in Maine. He also worked at Pratt Whitney, Jet Turbine and Turbo Power & Marine in Florida. John served as a Shriner (Tin Lizzie) and Mason for 23 years. He was a veteran of The US Air Force serving during The Korean War. John loved traveling the country in his RV. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rochelle F. Kukas; son, Ronald E. Zukas; daughter, Melanie (Lawrence) LaPointe; grandchildren, Brandon, Lindsey, Justin and Jacob. His family would like to give a special thanks to The VA Hospital in West Palm Beach, Hospice of Palm Beach County and all friends and well wishers with their prayers and support. Private cremation services are under the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory. John's cremains will be inurned at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
