Bill Kirkpatrick, 65, of Greenacres, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, May 18, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer at the Hospice of the Palm Beaches in Boynton Beach. Bill was born to Maurine (Hicks) and Theodore J. Kirkpatrick Jr. at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, July 5, 1947. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Radarman during the Vietnam Era. Bill then worked as a Journeyman Electrician for 20 years. Afterwards he went back to school attending Palm Beach Atlantic College for his Bachelor's degree and Nova University earning a Master's degree for Marriage and Family Therapy, in order to have his own Christian Counseling practice. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Maurine Kirkpatrick; sister, Judith E. Hall; brother, Theodore J. Kirkpatrick III; and grandson, Matthew Ryan Phinazee. Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Peggy E. Kirkpatrick; children: Kathi Urbaniak, William Kirkpatrick Jr. (Laura), Christopher Kirkpatrick, Kenneth Kilby (Julie), Kathy Phinazee (Mike), father Theodore J. Kirkpatrick Jr; fifteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sister, Susan Prance (Ronnie); brothers, Stephen Kirkpatrick (Barbara) and Charles Kirkpatrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, May 25th at First Baptist Church of Wellington, 12700 West Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, Fl 33414. Pastor Terry Townsend will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00am until service time on Saturday. Mr. Kirkpatrick will be laid to rest with military honors Tuesday, May 28th, at the South Florida National Cemetery in Western Lake Worth at 9:45am. Please assemble at 9:30 AM in lane 1.
