Quareno "Peter" Colantonio

October 18, 1922 — May 30, 2013

Quareno "Pete" Colantonio, 90, of West Palm Beach passed away on May 30, 2013 of complications due to cancer. Peter came to the USA from Italy on May 27, 1937. He served in World War II (Normandy and Central Europe) 1942-1945, earning 3 bronze stars in the Army Air Corps. He worked as an Executive in the garment industry for 30 years. He was active in The Knights of Columbus and spent his retirement doing good works for various local organizations. Husband of the late Mary Colantonio, Peter is survived by daughter, Maria Manosis, son-in-law, George E. Manosis, and grandchildren, Kayleigh Colantonio and Sean Boisseau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12 Noon Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Tomasz Makowski celebrant. Inurnment with military honors will be held 11 AM Monday, June 10, 2013 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please assemble in Lane 5. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, West Palm Beach.
