Frances M. Brown

Frances Louise Brown, 65, of Lake Worth, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2013 after a brief struggle with lung cancer. Fran was born on January 16, 1948 in Reading, Pennsylvania to John and Helen Oakley. Her family moved to Hollywood, Florida where she graduated from McArthur High School in 1966. Fran was an accountant. She enjoyed reading, watching crime TV, playing scrabble and spending time with her family. Fran was a supporter of PFLAG and GLBT. She is survived by her brother John Oakley; daughter Stacy Mangio and partner Heather Frederick and their children Joshua and Hailey; daughter Julie Mangio and her children Michael Waters and Brandon Krock. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Oakley. Per Fran's request there will not be a service. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of "The Jay Robert Lauer Hospice and Palliative Care at JFK Hospital" for their support in her final days. Memorial donations may be made in the name of "Frances Louise Brown" to Hospice of Palm Beach County or consider your local hospice.
