Margaret Darr Merchant

Mrs. Margaret Darr Merchant of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 4, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born May 3, 1918 in Asheville, North Carolina, a daughter of Robert D. and Margaret Edwards. She was predeceased by her husbands, Herb Darr and Russell Merchant, son-in-law, Carl Gottschalk and granddaughter, Debbie Thomas. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her daughters, Judy Rivers (Bill), Clara Anne Gottschalk, and Betty Harjula (Alan), her sister, Jo Edwards Gaines, her grandsons, Chris Thomas (Cindy), Eric Johansson (Megan), Keith Johannson (Jenny), 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous other family members. A Funeral Service will be held 6:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2013 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Norm Speier presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 4:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. A graveside committal service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
