Louise Dungan McClung went to be with our Lord Sept. 29, 2013 after celebrating her 100th Birthday on Sept. 23rd. She was the daughter of Marvin J. and Mary Heath Dungan. She was born in Chilhowie Virginia. She was the wife of the late Nortie Woodroe McClung. She resided in Norfolk, Virginia for 38 years and after the passing of her husband moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1979 to live with her son. She leaves behind a son, Paul McClung (and wife Tessie) of West Palm Beach, Fl., sister Polly Furr of Kenneth Square, Penn., sister Nancy Sanders of Meridian, Miss., sister-in-law Virgie Powers Dungan of Chilhowie Va., sister-in-law Nita McClung Powers of Littleton, N.C., 2 grandchildren, Rick McClung (and wife Melinda) of Lexington, KY, Renee Newcomb (and husband Jon) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and 5 great grandchildren. Also 3 step grandchildren, Troy Cook of Monticello, FL, Teresa Diddle (and husband Chris) of Boone, N.C., Seth Cook (and wife Robin) of Graceville, FL, and 2 step great grandchildren. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her life was full of love for others and was loved in return by all. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Tillman Funeral Home Tuesday Oct. 8th. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and a service will follow at 11:00 AM. She dearly loved her church family and was an active member of Haverhill Baptist Church. She also loved and appreciated all of the Hospice team who helped her maintain an excellent quality of life at home for the past one and a half years.
