Mr. Stanley J. Paxton of Greenacres, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2014 at age 85. Born on July 21, 1928 to John and Vera (Abraham) Paxton. A graduate of Congers High School and Zion Bible School. Stan served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska. He was an air traffic controller until his retirement in 1978. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and pool. He was a member of Trinity Church International, Lake Worth. Stanley was predeceased by his first wife, Carolyn (Holmes) Paxton and his son, Lance S. Paxton. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Louise (Webster) Paxton, daughters, Sheryl Teresi (Bob), Janet Mitchell, Sheryl Stowell (Randy), daughter-in-law, Valerie Paxton, grandchildren, Casandra Paxton, Dominic Teresi, Amy Clemson, Stephany Johnson, Katrina Mitchell, Kacy Mitchell, great-grandchildren, Carolyn Paxton along with four others, sister, Vera Sharpe, nieces, Nancy Warner, Judith Sharpe, Susan Meixner (Michael) A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach. Pastor Tom Peters will officiate. Inurnment with military honors will be held 2 PM Thursday at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please assemble in Lane 3. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
