Linda Guriere, age 69, of Cornelia, GA. ,formerly of West Palm Beach, passed away September 3, 2014 in Gainesville, GA. She graduated from Roslyn High School in NY in 1963, and received LPN degree from Glen Cove Community Hospital, in NY in 1965. She married Salvatore Guriere in September 11, 1965 and had 2 children, Cindy and Carmen. She moved to Florida in 1972, and owned with her husband, Salvatore, The Italian Village Restaurant and Pagliacci's Restaurant, both in West Palm Beach. She moved to Pacifica California in 1987 and was a pet groomer for My Best Friend. She moved back to West Palm Beach in 1992 and became a Veterinarian Technician for Evans Animal Hospital before retiring in 2002. On April 24, 2002 she married John Plassmann and moved to Austin TX, from there moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 2006 and in May 2014 moved to Cornelia, GA., where she attended Lanier Christian Church in Gainesville, GA. Linda was an extremely strong woman surviving breast cancer in 2000 and again in 2011. She was an animal lover from the day she was born, she always had a dog on her lap or a bird on her shoulder. She loved to do puzzles and was an avid crossword puzzler. She loved completely and was completely loved. She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Lawrence Wagner and husband Salvatore Carmen Anthony Guriere. She is survived by her current husband, John Henry Plassmann, daughter, Cynthia Marie Guriere Casto and her husband, Wade Kirk Casto, son, Carmen Lawrence Guriere, grandsons, Christopher Carmen Michael Guriere and Alexander Salvatore Guriere. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, September 7, 2014 at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach with Pastor David Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach. The family will receive guests 12 Noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
