Dolores M. Rizzotto

Dolores Rizzotto is an amazing woman. She fought the good fight against cancer and sadly passed away in the presence of her son, Robert, and her companion, Daniel Grayson, at her side. Dolores served the City of New York in many capacities but none so important as her role in our community as district manager of Community Board # 2 (Sunnyside - Woodside). She worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for so many. She will be sorely missed for her wisdom, compassion, fairness, sense of humor and leadership. Dolores was a true friend to all and an expert in helping so many. She was a life-long resident of Corona, NY and retired to West Palm Beach eight years ago and loved every minute of it. She is the loving mother of Michael & Robert and dear mother-in-law of Vivian. Adoring nana of Anthony and Thomas - her Mushies. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Aniceto John and Maureen Serrone of Flemington, NJ. Dolores is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, god-child and her dear companion, Daniel Grayson. Visitation will be on Thursday, 9/18/14 from 7-9 pm & Friday, 9/19/14 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm at the Guida Funeral Home, 47-20 104th Street, Corona, NY. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 20th at 10:45 am in St. Leo Roman Catholic Church, Corona, NY. Dolores will be laid to rest with her parents in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, NY. Do not be sad but take great comfort that Dolores is amongst the angels in heaven.
