John P. Gilmore

John P. Gilmore, 85, born February 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed peacefully on October 20, 2014 at the home of his son, Michael; with daughter, Maureen by his side, spending the last several years under their care in West Palm Beach. Proudly serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, 101st in World War II. Returning to Cleveland he started his family in 1950. Moving to Riviera Beach to work at Pratt & Whitney in the 1960's and 1970's. With his love for fishing, the outdoors and painting he retired to his "mountain in Missouri". Survivors include siblings, Kay, Tom, Judy, Dan, Molly and Karynn, also sister, Peg (deceased) with all their families and nieces and nephews. His children, John, Kim, Michael, Maureen and Colleen, his nine grandchildren and his 12 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach.
