Francis J. Hamelin

Francis J. Hamelin, age 76, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away December 8, 2014. Mr. Hamelin was an area resident since 1942, and graduated from St. Ann's in 1958. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retired from the Florida Department of Transportation, was a Boy Scouts of America Leader of Troop 192, and enjoyed planting a vegetable garden and taking care of his beautiful yard. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Richard H. Hamelin, and his daughter, Kathleen Marie. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his wife of 48 years, Kathleen Hamelin, children, Frank Hamelin, Jr., Deanna (Rob) Scaglione, Theresa (Rick)Price, Pauline (Kyle) Heine,Edward Hamelin and Crystal Caruso, Chris (Michelle) Hamelin, Karen Hamelin, 10 grandchildren, brother, John David Hume sister, Mary Donna Hamelin, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends 7-9 PM Friday at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:30 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach. Burial with military honors will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
