Thomas R. Torrisi

Thomas R. Torrisi, better known to all his family and friends as "BABE" died January 18, 2015 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was 75 years old. He was born in Lawrence, MA and raised in Andover, MA. The only son of the late Thomas and Sandy (Torrisi) Torrisi. Tom was educated in Lawrence, graduating from Central Catholic High School in l957. He attended Marianapolis Prep School in Thompson Ct. and Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. He was also in the Navy. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Lawrence and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for many years in the family business, Jackson Lumber Co, Lawrence, MA. He also worked for the City of Lawrence Water Dept. In West Palm Beach he worked in an Assisted Living complex, until his retirement. He loved summers in Salisbury Beach with his family. Tom had a great passion for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He was an avid 45's card player and poker player. Spending time with his grandchildren and family was most important to him. He did volunteer reading at a Charter School in West Palm Beach. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Aura (Gonzalez) Torrisi of West Palm Beach, his children, Sandra E. (Torrisi) Neel of Methuen, Methuen Police Officier Thomas R. Torrisi of Salem, NH, Jennifer M. Torrisi and Jeffrey T. and wife Melissa (Sims) Torrisi of West Palm Beach. His grandchildren, Lindsay A. Neel, Patrick S. Neel, of Methuen, Michelle E and Michael B. Russell, Jr. Ramon Luciano Hall, Johnny E. Torrisi all of West Palm Beach and Christopher T. Torrisi of Salem, NH. He also leaves several wonderful cousins. He was predeceased by his former wife, Linda (Vivenzio) Torrisi. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 So. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM in Friday, January 23rd at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2892 So. Congress Avenue in Lake Worth, Florida. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in Lawrence, MA at a later date, to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Catholic High School, Lawrence, MA in Thomas' name.
