Albina G. Jurgonis

Albina G. Jurgonis, 97, of Boynton Beach, Florida and formerly of Waterbury, Connecticut, widow of Charles J. Jurgonis, Sr., died on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Albina was born in Waterbury on March 2, 1918, the daughter of Peter and Eva (Kaukas) Garbukas. She is survived by her son, Charles J. (Patricia) Jurgonis, Jr. of Fairfax, Virginia and daughter, Carol A. (Richard) Browne of Boynton Beach, Florida. She also leaves two grandsons, Patrick M. Hines of Florida and Kevin P. (Ellen) Hines of Utah and several nieces and nephews. Albina was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 1935 and worked for the City of Waterbury for 31 years until her retirement in 1986. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 Tuesday morning, July 28, 2015 at The Snyder Funeral Home, 114 Willow Street in Waterbury, leaving for an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Burial will immediately follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. There will be no local services for Albina at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory.
