Dr. Ronald Oliver Schwartz passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2015 in his home located in Jupiter, Florida. Ron was born to Mr. and Mrs. R. Monroe Schwartz of Atlanta, Ga. on June 28, 1950. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1968, and attended Emory University and Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta where he graduated in 1975. He completed an internship there followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Albany, Ga. and then in Atlanta before retiring to Jupiter, Florida. Ron's interests included active investing, gardening, boating, political debate, and creative construction on his retirement property in Jupiter. He wrote several books and many medical journal publications. Ron was especially known for his charitable giving to those with personal or medical needs. His creativity, great sense of humor, compassion for others, and intelligence were true gifts which he shared with his close friends. He will be truly missed by all who were close to him, including his beloved canine companion, Eddie. He was predeceased by his mother, Ilse Schwartz and survived by his father and sister, Arlene. Private memorial services will be held in Atlanta and Jupiter.
