Dominic Piccininni, age 85, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away November 5, 2015. Dominic was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 21, 1930. He was a veteran of The US Army, serving in the Korean War. Dominic was predeceased by his son, Dominick Piccininni. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vincenza Piccininni; children, Jack Piccininni, Lisa (Tom) Creighton, Michael (Meryl) Lazarow, Maria (Anthony) Faglione; grandchildren, Anthony, Jacqueline, Denise, Nicole, Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, Marissa, Erica, Melissa, Paul and Alessandra; great grandchildren, Bella, Leland and Jake; sisters, Anna Cambria, Lena Susi and Theresa Julian. Dominic was raised in Brooklyn New York to Italian immigrants. He was one of 9 children. His work ethics led him to land his first job as a butcher in a local meat shop. From there he went onto to work for Waldbaums Supermarket quickly rose to the title of Vice President of Meat Operations. He retired in 1992. He married his first wife Marguerite and had 3 children Jack Dominick and Lisa and resided on Long Island. Later in life he married his current wife Vincenza who would have been celebrating their 30th wedding Anniversary this month. He loved bowling, fishing and especially loved woodworking. He devoted his spare time to volunteering at The Palm Beach School of Autuism and enjoyed his job as usher for St Thomas More Church. He was a devoted, compassionate and caring family man who was always there to give his love and offer advice to anyone who came into his life. In his passing Heaven has truly gained an angel. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. A Funeral Mass celebrated by Reverend Julian Harris will take place at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 South Military Trail, Boynton Beach, Florida 33436. Interment with military honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Palm Beach School for Autism.
