Mr. George Nicholas Kalfas, age 72, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away March 10, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Kalfas was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, West Palm Beach and a volunteer usher at Trinity Church International, Lake Worth. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Zervos.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his wife, Eleutheria “Libby” Kalfas, children, Despina Kalfas (David Kennedy), Katina Diakoloukas, Nicholas Kalfas (Sandra), grandchildren, Sophia and Eleftheria, brother, Agapitos Kalfas, sister, Jane Moriarty.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 110 Southern Blvd; West Palm Beach, the Rev. Andrew Maginas celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. The family will receive relatives and friends 7-9 PM Tuesday at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, where a Trisagion service will be held at 8:30 PM.
