Betty Lee Brown Seldon

August 29, 1944 — March 20, 2016

The late Betty Lee Brown Seldon was born in Miami, Florida, on August 29, 1944, to the late yet very proud parents of Mr. Jesse Duke Brown Senior and Mrs. Ora Lee Humbert Sullivan Brown. She was the second child of three siblings.

At a very early age, Betty received the Lord as her very personal Savior, and she was even baptized accordingly. Betty was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church; and, then, New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church—both churches, of Miami, Florida; and, right, under the religious leadership of the late yet great Reverend A.M. Griffin; plus, the late yet great Reverend Arthur Jackson Junior.

Betty then received her general education at The Historic Booker T. Washington High School, in Miami, Florida. Afterwards, her practical or technical education was completed right at Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center, in Miami, Florida.

Betty was joined in holy matrimony to the late yet proud Walter Curtis Seldon on September 17, 1982, in Miami, Florida. Both her husband and her youngest daughter, or Taushia Tre’Nay Bias Dennis, preceded Betty in death.

Among some other things, Betty was even a life-long Licensed Practical Nurse (or, an LPN); plus, a very sharp student of computer-games, and mixed word-puzzles, and even a passionate listener of all things gospel: music, television shows, and so on.

On March 20, 2016, at 9:30 p.m., Betty went peacefully to be with God at the age of 71.

She leaves right behind precious memories and mementos to: Her very beloved Daughter, Tangela Denise Brown; Grand-children, Taquaneshia, Moses, and Gary; Great-grand son, Hunter; and, Sister, Ms. Shirley Jean Brown; and, Sister-in-Law, Mrs. Betty Jean Brown Patterson; and even Aunt, Mrs. Felicita (Lisa) Garcia Sullivan; plus, a host of very well-loved relatives and friends.
