Adeline A. Beecham died at home in West Palm Beach on June 22, 2016. Beloved wife and mother Adeline Alice Kusek Beecham was born in a small farm house near Elyria, Nebraska on July 7, 1923 to Joseph M. and Vera Marie Kusek.
As a small child Adeline lived through the difficult years of the Nebraska dust bowl and depression. In 1927 she started her first 8 years of school in the one room Fort Hartstuff School. Adeline graduated Salutatorian from Ord High School in 1938. Adeline married William P. Beecham, a USAF aviator, on June 19, 1945. During their 56 year marriage, they had a rich and full life, lived in many places and traveled the world. They retired to West Palm Beach in 1968 and enjoyed their 10 acre homestead for many happy years. There they enjoyed hosting many family birthdays, holidays and breakfasts where the world’s best waffles were enjoyed. They raised children with happy hearts and flowers, bees, cows, dogs, cats and many citrus trees. It was a bit of heaven on earth. And they always remembered to thank God for his bounty and many blessings.
Adeline is predeceased by her husband Bill and is survived by their 10 children. William (Bill) and wife Linda Beecham, James (Jim) Beecham, Bernard (Bern) Beecham and wife Cheryl Lathrop, Elizabeth (Betty) and husband Rod Tennyson, Anne Beecham, Jerome (Jerry) and wife Tracey Beecham, Steven (Steve) Beecham, David and wife Linda Beecham, Janet and husband Bob Mixson, Robert (Bob) and wife Vicky Beecham. She is dearly loved by her 14 grandchildren Michael Beecham, Caitlin Beecham, Noah Tennyson, Nathan Tennyson, Jennifer Fisk, Brianna Fisk, Kyleigh Beecham, Kieran Beecham, Ian Beecham, Brendan Beecham, Jimmy Beecham, Mark Beecham, Alex Beecham, and Cristina Beecham.
Adeline devoted her life to her large family and they are forever grateful for her loving care. Adeline was a devout Catholic and her faith guided her throughout her life. She was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish for many years and volunteered her time and resources to the parish. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Edwin Edezath OCD, celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, where prayers will be said at 6:00 PM.
