William F. "Bill" Breckel
November 9, 1935 — February 28, 2017
William F. "Bill" Breckel, age 81, of West Palm Beach, Florida and Honesdale, Pennsylvania passed away February 28, 2017. He served in the Navy for twenty years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He also retired after eighteen years of service at Con Edison Nuclear Power Plant in Buchanan, New York.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen Breckel of fifty-five years, three sons, Paul (Denise), Robert (late Maria), Alan and grandsons, Andrew and Timothy.
Graveside service with military honors will take place at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33467. Please assemble in Lane #3 by 11:20 AM if attending services at the cemetery on Thursday.
The graveside service will be followed by a "Celebration of Life" Luncheon at New China Buffet at 5841 Lake Worth Road (East of Jog Road, just past Sherwood Forest Blvd.) in the Wood Lake Plaza.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to: First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale, 201 Tenth Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 or to Palms West Presbyterian Church, 1128 Palm Beach Blvd., PMB 225, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411
