George J. Debenian, age 88 of Jupiter Florida passed away on March 8, 2017. He was born in Newington Connecticut on October 17, 1928. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged on August 11, 1946 with a thank you for his service to his country in defeating the enemy from President Harry S. Truman. Pursuing his boyhood love of horses George worked in the thoroughbred racing industry most of his adult life. He rose through the ranks ending his successful career as a manager of the betting windows after working at Calder Race Track, Gulfstream Park, Hialeah Park as well as many venues on the east coast of the United States. He married Elouise McNamara in 1989 and is survived by his wife Elouise, son Gary Debenian, daughter Linda Anderson; granddaughter Ashley; step daughter Terri Spottswood and grandchildren Cara Mantovani Arvas, Kenneth Mantovani, Gabriel Mantovani, John Spottswood III, Cristy Spottswood, Mac Spottswood and David Spottswood.
