Collins Albert Straub

March 11, 1923 — March 19, 2017

Mr. Collins Albert Straub, age 94, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away March 19, 2017. Mr. Straub was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a recipient of the Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars and a Silver Star. He served in the 10th Armored Division at the Battle of the Bulge. He began his career with IBM Corporation shortly after World War II. He was part of the Apollo team that put the first man on the moon.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Straub, and daughters, Sharon Justice and Lori Tanner.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his son, William A. "Bill" Straub and his wife Ana Straub, grandchildren, Justin Straub, Eric Straub, Jeffrey Justice and Scott Justice.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held 10:15 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please assemble in Lane # 5.
Arrangements are under the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach.
