Ernest Iwanski

January 27, 1928 — May 7, 2017

Ernest Iwanski passed away of natural causes this week.

Ernest was born in 1928 and raised in New York City and Long Island.  He moved to Boca Raton in retirement. He transformed his house and home into a garden paradise, as he did in all the houses he lived at in Albertson, Chappaqua, Fort Salonga and Levittown.  By hand, no help.    If you drive by those neighborhoods now, you will no doubt be able to tell which house was his by the concrete work, landscaping and changed roof-lines! In between all the house work, he passed on his love of cars and Corvettes to his son Mark who watched him restore many different vehicles in the garage, from engine work to painting. He grew up in the heyday of Roller-skating and loved ballroom dancing as well.

He was a hard worker and had perfect attendance while working for AT&T as a phone booth repairman until his retirement.   He served his country in the Army from 1944-1946.  Before working at ‘Ma Bell’ he was a master printer at a Print Shop in NYC.  He was married to Marcia for 28 years who died in 1998.  He was then married to Francine who died recently.  He is survived by his three children Mark, Colette and Allyson.

Private cremation services are under the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach, Florida.
