Leonard Lawrence Lipinski was born on the 4th of July, 1925, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. He was the oldest of 6 children born to Leo and Helen Lipinski. He graduated Nanticoke Highschool and entered the Merchant Marines at age 18. He served his country in the military for 10 years during World War II and after. He received four decorations of honor during his service.
After returning from the service, he was employed at the Annapolis Naval Academy. He married Antoinette Magnosi. After a long career at the Annapolis Naval Academy, he retired and they settled in Lake Worth, Florida, where he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He passed on May 13th, 2017, the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Therese De Lisieux Catholic Church, 11800 Lake Worth Road, Wellington. Interment with military honors will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
