Jose Torres, age 78, of Greenacres, Florida passed away at home on June 1, 2017. Mr. Torres was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on June 22, 1938. He was a veteran on the US Army. Mr. Torres is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elsa Doris Torres; daughters, Eileen (Leonardo) Carbo and Linda Torres; grandchildren, Jasmine Jimenez and Felicia (Ryan) Jimenez; great grandchildren, Zoe Mila Jalilo and Kendall Iris Berg; brothers, Al (Evelyn) Torres and Angelo (Cecilia) Torres.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at A Place Called Hope, 760 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415. Interment with military honors will follow at 10:45 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33467. Please assemble in Lane #3 by 10:35 AM on Thursday if attending services at the cemetery.
