Mercedes Balbis, age 89, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away June 27, 2017. Mercedes was born in Cuba on December 13, 1927. She was predeceased by her husband, Pedro Balbis. Mercedes is survived by her son, Jose (Rosa) Ortoneda; grandsons, Eduardo (Cristel) Ortoneda and Jose Ortoneda, Jr.; great grandchildren, Giovanni Ortoneda, Nikolas Ortoneda, Sabrina Ortoneda and Sebastian Ortoneda; brothers, Alvaro Vazquez and Jorge Vazquez; sisters, Adela Vazquez and Elvia Vazquez.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ducasse Francois at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. Juliana Catholic Church in West Palm Beach followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach.
