Thomas F. Doyle

July 24, 1930 — February 2, 2018

Thomas Francis Doyle, Jr., of Margate FL, and formerly of Peekskill NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Veterans Administration Hospice in West Palm Beach FL on February 2, 2018.  He was born July 24, 1930 in New York City to Thomas and Mary (Ronan) Doyle.  He married Rosalie Patricia Castellano, the love of his life, in 1956, and together they had six children.  He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953.  When Tom returned to NY, he worked for the local Iron Workers Union in NYC and Metro North Railroad.  Following his retirement from Metro North Railroad he enjoyed playing golf, traveling to Ireland, and spending the winter months in Florida.  He is survived by daughters Debra Francis, of Hallandale Beach FL, Doreen Doyle of Peekskill NY, Donna Doyle of West Palm Beach FL; sons Thomas (Jeanette) Doyle III of Peekskill NY, David (Rory) Doyle of Boca Raton FL, and Tobi (Noelle) Doyle of Bozeman MT; grandchildren Michael (Rachell) Gibbs, Brandon Doyle, Jack Doyle, Sean Doyle, Violet Doyle, and Griffin Doyle; 2 great-grandchildren Jaxson Gibbs and Penelope Gibbs; sisters Mary Kilmartin and Teresa Evers, both of Ireland; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Rosalie.  

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth FL.  Please assemble in Lane #5 by 10:45 AM if attending services at the cemetery on Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Veterans Administration Hospice in West Palm Beach www.westpalmbeach.va.gov or the charity of their choice.
