George Arthur Bussiere

November 26, 1926 — February 22, 2018

George Arthur Bussiere, 91, of Bound Brook, New Jersey passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018 surrounded by family. George was born November 26, 1926 in Westfield, New Jersey. After graduating high school, George joined the Navy in 1943 until 1946. He served in WWII on Ship USS Ticonderoga. He was married on June 26, 1944 to Florence “Dolly” Bussiere of Atlantic City, New Jersey and had five children, thirteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. He retired from Lockheed Electronics where he worked as an electrician for 20 years. In 1981 he retired in Dunnellon, Florida where he spent his time on his farm and racing pigeons.

George is survived by his son George Bussiere, Jr. and his wife Lucielle of Grand Gorge, New York and his daughter Gail Johnson and her husband Robert of Toms River, New Jersey; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, sister Yvette Kaiser of Lacey, New Jersey, sister Louise Lucy of Edison, New Jersey and brother Frank Bussiere of Marlboro, New Jersey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Yvonne Beland and Louis Bussiere of Westfield, New Jersey, children, Nancy Sawyer, Louis Bussiere, and James Bussiere; siblings Bobby, Eddie, Billy, Louis, Norman, and Romeo Bussiere.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home followed by interment with military honors at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
