Lenore Anderson Dupee

Born in Chicago January 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Ralph and Luella Dupee,  parted this world on May 3, 2018.  She moved to Palm Beach County with her family when she was 10 years old.  Leni attended schools in the Lake Worth area where she was active in sports.

She attended Florida State University and received a degree in Elementary Education. Through the years she also attended Florida Atlantic University earning a Master's Degree and did work on her Doctoral in Gifted Education.

Leni was employed by the Palm Beach County School District for over 31 years beginning as a classroom teacher at Meadow Park Elementary.  She became an Elementary Math Resource teacher for the county.  She was proud to hold principalships at Grove Park Elementary, Delray Elementary, and Palm Springs Elementary.  Leni touched many lives as an educator.

After retirement, she worked at Okeeheelee Nature Center as coordinator of school programs.

Leni was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Xi Chapter, International Society for Key Women Educators.  She was also a member of Florida Retired Educators Association where she served many roles and enjoyed the fellowship of other retired educators.

Leni is survived by a brother, Ralph and sister-in-law, Joyce of Katonah, NY; a nephew, Kenneth and niece, Kim.  Her extended family here in West Palm Beach includes the Ford, Reed, and Angiel families and five enthusiastic boys, Logan, Cooper, Beckett, Ryder, and Parker who gave her many hours of  laughter, love, and fun!
